In my practice I often use sculpture as a medium articulating an idea. Sculpture primarily interests me in terms of form (internal proportions), surface (material) and size.

In this case, I’ve discovered the formal similarity between a water cooler—a machine for cooling and dispensing water—and prehistoric idols. The material I chose for this piece—white cement—increases this likeness because of its texture and color, and it also echoes with the place—the space of the Divnogorye national park. I’ve kept the initial form and size unchanged.
